You will keep losing your data, like I have. here is a TLDR.
Issue: If you reload/restart VSC for any reason, it reverts to the last commitited changes or some random old stage and you will lose all your uncommitted changes. This reload/restart of VSC can be because of the following
- random network issue which disconnects your wsl2/remote-ssh to server where code exists
- you wanna take a break (go out, sleep etc.,)
- reboot pc (windows needs it constantly)
You have to constantly live in the fear of losing your most current changes/code/data. It seems every other official or reddit community wants to deny that this ever happens. Those who have come out with this problem, seems to be shamed for not knowing how to use git or how to use an IDE.
